An intense, American Small Batch Gin crafted by Todd & Scott Leopold in Colorado. It begins with herbal and floral characteristics, evolving into a complex profile with botanical, spice, pine, and citrus zest notes; concluding with a long, zesty finish featuring juniper and acacia. Sampled in September 2018 and January 2019.
My top gin choice ever. It's floral and herbaceous, without excessive juniper. The distiller crafts each component individually before combining them, preventing any single ingredient from being over-extracted. This spirit is subtle, delightful, and very carefully made.
Fantastic aroma with fruit, herbs, and pine. The body is fruity with a moldy note, followed by a quick, alcohol-heavy finish.
