About this bottle

Madrecuishe (also spelled madrecuixhe), alongside other Karwinskii agave varieties, is valued for its typically more invigorating and herbaceous profile. Mezcalero Pedro Hernández produces this spirit using traditional methods: agave cooked in an earth pit and subsequently crushed with a tahona. The madrecuishe agave requires a longer maturation period, averaging around 12 years, compared to the typical 7-9 years for espadín.

Alana Shea 5.0

The aroma presents intense jalapeño and green pepper, with undertones of pineapple and citrus, offering a very complex taste. It's a bit sharp initially, but mellows on the palate with time, leaving a significant impression.
