Remarkably rubbery on both the nose and palate. Notes of burnt tires, tennis balls, and hospital gloves are present. It's not the most approachable, but it's quite captivating. Reasonably priced considering its distinctiveness.

About this bottle
While Oaxaca is known for mezcal, Michoacan is also producing notable expressions. This mezcal, made from the uncommon agave cenizo using the "method ancestral," is distilled in oyamel and pine wood stills. Maestro Mezcalero Don Jose Emilio Vieyra Rangel and his son Emilio Vieyra rely solely on their senses and instincts in its production, mirroring techniques used over 400 years ago.
