Discovered this at a lodge while in South Africa. While I typically prefer whisky, I decided to sample the Klipdrift Brandy. It struck me as unexpectedly mellow, though with a slight, puckering burn. It presented subtle smoke notes and a pleasant fruitiness. All things considered, it was decent.
