Kirk and Sweeney Burning Mast Rum

This is an exceptional rum. Having sampled numerous pepper-infused spirits over the years, we thought we knew what to anticipate from this one. However, instead of the heat overpowering the rum, it enhances it, providing a warmth without any harsh burn. The initial taste is sweet and rounded, as expected from an aged rum. But, after a few moments, the heat emerges, delivering a warming sensation comparable to fresh ginger. The warmth endures for several minutes but never becomes excessive. This is a perfect rum for cocktail experimentation. From ginger ale highballs to tiki drinks. Consider adding some to your next Piña Colada. Burning Mast pairs wonderfully with pineapple and coconut.
