Brayden Clawson 3.8

(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Ardnamurchan Virtual Whisky Tasting, November 5, 2020). Nose: Orange peel, sherry, fruit-forward, a touch of brine. Palate: Christmas fruits and spices, barley sugar, pepper. The PX influence is evident – cherries, chocolate, cocoa. Finish: Distinctive dark peat, light smoke, salt & iodine. A pleasant zesty tang at the end. A blend of single casks from Kilchoman and Ardnamurchan distilleries. Kilchoman's cask was a bourbon cask; Ardnamurchan's was a peated Pedro Ximénez sherry cask (Concerto barley). 1 of 686 bottles KilchArd - Pronounced Kill Hard. The bottle features numerous references to Die Hard, including the owners' names being 'Bruce' and 'Wills'. It tied for fourth place out of the six whiskies, receiving 2% of the vote for favorite of the evening. (71% of attendees indicated they enjoyed the whisky).
