I had heard positive comments about this one, but due to previous encounters with Cuervo tequila, I would avoid purchasing larger bottles. It was better than I anticipated. A bit harsher than El Jimador Resado, but certainly not unpleasantly so. You don't need salt and lime, or any mixer. This is meant for sipping, and it's one I'll have again.

This is agave in its purest form; it's the fundamental flavor that people in Mexico are accustomed to. This is our baseline. Therefore, it's quite familiar, with its earthy notes and hints of vanilla, its medium body, and taste.

Fidel Amato 4.8

This Tradicional Reposado appears crystal-clear with a straw-gold hue. The smell is of spicy agave nectar. The taste is similar, with a kind of savory quality. It has a light body and a dry finish.

The price is unbeatable. For less than $20, this is a fantastic tequila for both cocktails and sipping straight. It's also a must-have for those who prefer shots.

Reid Baca 2.5

Smells of agave, black pepper, vanilla, earth, lime, and possibly some wood. The flavor mirrors the aroma, with a touch of salt. It's slightly sweet, thin, and a tad harsh.

Angel Reardon 3.8

The aroma is reminiscent of that unpleasant Gold tequila typically found on bar rails, but the taste is surprisingly light and smooth.
