I don't often find this blanco tequila in stores, but when I do, I like to get it for my collection. It's one of the better blanco options available. The aroma has citrus and some pepper. The taste is very earthy, with notes of grass and lemon peel. The finish is quite long with some pleasant spicy notes. This is a well-crafted tequila and is easily recommended both neat and in cocktails. Besides El Tesoro or Ocho, I'm not sure there are many superior options.

About this bottle
David Suro-Piñera founded Siembra Azul with the objective of advancing education, healthcare, and research in tequila production. The Blanco tequila originates from Arandas in Jalisco's Highlands and is double-distilled using agave plants aged between five and eight years. Each label provides extensive details, including the agave ranch, still type, and the names of the jimador and distiller. While each batch may vary slightly, they consistently demonstrate meticulous care and attention, aiming for a defined house style.

A clear, artisanal agave spirit created by NOM 1414. It begins delicately with notes of agave, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; a tropical phase introduces notes of coconut & mango; leading to a balanced, medium-length finish with a hint of pepper. May 2017.
Sampled this alongside Fortaleza Reposado winter blend and Fuenteseca 18 in a blanco to extra Añejo tasting. Delicious, offering notes of cooked agave, floral elements, mango, pineapple, caramel, anise, grass, herbs, mint, citrus, vanilla, and a creamy texture.
My top choice for mixing tequila. It forms the foundation for all my margaritas and palomas. Unfortunately, it's hard to find in PA, but I always keep two bottles at home.
Light and floral with subtle green and black pepper notes.
