About this bottle

Part of Jameson's Hyperlocal Editions, this whiskey is crafted by seasoning barrels with Revolution Brewing's Fist City Chicago Pale Ale. Afterward, Jameson filled these beer-seasoned barrels with their triple-distilled Irish blended whiskey for a finishing maturation. The final product is bottled at 80 proof.

Bryson Neff 3.3

Smells like vanilla, cream, pepper, and a touch of hops. Initial taste is warm and oily with very little flavor. Mid-palate has butter, spice, olive oil, and oak. Conclusion brings white chocolate, salt, pepper, a hint of smoke, and some hops. Overall: It's a smooth, easy drink, but lacks depth. The complexity only appears at the end. The mouthfeel is excellent for a whiskey, but it's not the most distinctive I've encountered. I wouldn't purchase it for myself, but I'm glad to have received it as a present.

Jayce Glover 3.8

This is a delightful whiskey. It handles ice well and possesses ample smoothness from a hint of revolution flavor. While I'm not a fan of revolution beers, this one is definitely worth getting.

Rocco Cheek 2.5

A fantastic take on a familiar style. Noticeable hops and citrus notes. Sweet fruit flavors mingle with clove. A solid value for the money.

Thiago Elizondo 2.0

Once the hoppy taste emerges, it dominates. I'm not a big fan of hoppy beers, so this didn't appeal to me.
