An opulent single grain from the Invergordon distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company after aging for a generous 42 years. Batch 15 consists of 665 bottles. It begins aromatically with notes of mango, papaya, Milk bottle sweets, chocolate buttons, charred oak, and a trace of Ready Salted crisps. Its rich life unfolds with notes of fried plantain, apple skins, chili chocolate, old leather, and clove stick, leading to a long and warming conclusion with notes of Brandy snaps, desiccated coconut, and dark chocolate mousse. From Dramfest '18. One of 665 bottles. A rich, sherry-matured dram. It felt a bit out of sync after the other Boutique-y whiskies we sampled. The Adelphi bottling from a similar age range is superior. However, this one is more affordable at $120 USD. 3.5
