About this bottle
The Cambus distillery, operational as a malt distillery since 1806, commenced grain whisky production in 1836. Driven by the development of the highly effective Coffey still, the proprietors adapted the distillery's existing malt apparatus for grain production. Before ceasing operations in 1993, Cambus primarily supplied output for blends; therefore, this Special Release represents its inaugural official single grain bottling under Diageo. Distilled in 1975 and matured for four decades in refill American oak hogsheads, it is presented at 52.7% ABV. Production was limited to only 1,812 bottles.
