Gran Coramino Tequila Reposado Cristalino

Since it's backed by Kevin Hart, I assumed it would be straightforwardly good, given his tendency towards authenticity. Unfortunately, that's not the reality. It's remarkably average. It's sweet, with vanilla and honey notes, and a slight peppery finish. Specifically, expecting a smooth, filtered, complex tequila from Coramino, I received something I can only call underwhelming. It's smooth, yes, but bland and lacking complexity, which will likely disappoint aficionados. For me, the price-to-taste ratio is unsatisfactory, sadly leading to disappointment.

A crisp, Agave Spirit from La Rojeña Distillery NOM: 1122 in Jalisco (Los Valles), Mexico. It was slow-roasted in brick ovens, twice distilled in copper pot stills, aged in Eastern European oak barrels, and then finished in California Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks before being filtered and bottled at 40%. It presents an aromatic beginning with hints of roasted agave, wood, fruits, herbs & spices; its rich & complex character adds notes of berries, cream soda, vanilla, honey & toffee; culminating in a crisp, medium-length finish with a trace of oak, caramel, cinnamon & white pepper.

From day 21 of the advent calendar. Sampled neat. The aroma is sweet and earthy, with hints of vanilla, vanilla frosting, and agave. On the palate, it's sweet, smooth, and delicious, with notes of vanilla and honey. Adding a couple of small ice cubes chilled it further, enhancing the smoothness and bringing out a vanilla cake flavor with sweet vanilla frosting, but not excessively sweet, at least for me! It tastes like an after-dinner dessert beverage. This is a delightful spirit to sip.

I found it a bit too sweet and fruity. The mouthfeel was slightly viscous. An excellent tequila for sipping. Far too good for mixing. It's smooth with a low burn. More intricate than just agave notes.

Remarkably intricate; more so than the aroma suggests. Individual nuances and tastes are difficult to discern, but it's very pleasing. Smooth and captivating.

Pleasant taste and aftertaste, not as good as a premium version, but certainly acceptable.
