This bottle was a very generous Christmas gift from a friend, thank you! I haven't tried many cognacs, but this is certainly the best one I've had yet. Oak, a touch of vanilla, rich dark lingering stewed fruit, and a light dryness from grape tannins. I'm not a cognac expert, but to me, this tastes like a more refined Remy Martin VSOP, not nearly as dark a profile as 1738. Not available in Ontario.
