Ferrand Légendaire is a limited edition blend featuring some of Ferrand's oldest cognacs, with some dating back a century. These cognacs were transferred to glass demi-johns upon reaching their desired maturity. Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel crafted the blend before a finishing period in a specially constructed zebra cask, made by gradually replacing staves with new ones. This release, the first of an anticipated annual series, had 500 bottles produced and became available in the U.S. in November 2020.

To start, I must state that this review is for the Ferrand SDA cognac. Its presentation and container are exactly the same, and this mix is roughly 30 years old on average. This celebrated creation is expertly balanced in flavor and strength. You'll taste rich notes of chocolate, honey, vanilla, orange, and cedar. An excellent choice for marking significant moments.
