About this bottle

Crop Harvest Earth Co., a distillery committed to organically grown ingredients, introduced Farmer's Organic Gin in 2010. The base spirit is derived from organically and sustainably sourced grain. While the full botanical composition is proprietary, juniper, elderflower, lemon grass, coriander, and angelica root are among the known organically cultivated components. Distilled in small batches, the gin is bottled at 46.7% ABV. Please note: This specific bottling has been discontinued; the brand released a revised recipe in November 2022.

Pale yellow color. The nose offers notes of grapes, apples, floral elements, and grain alcohol, with earthy spice. On the palate, juniper is followed by lemongrass, coriander, citrus, and a hint of alcohol for impact. It has a creamy, soft texture and a finish that is long, spicy, dry, yet lemony, leaving a distinct tingle. I appreciate the narrative behind this gin and the company's dedication to organic and local sourcing. However, the distillation process inherently transforms organic materials (though not entirely, as the act itself fundamentally alters them), and not all non-GMO/organic-based distillates are exceptional, but this one... wow! The decisions made during distillation and the balance achieved among the ingredients are magnificent. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail, it's a versatile choice. This ranks among my preferred gins: Plymouth, Fords, Barr Hill, Sipsmith, Ransom, and Haymans.

Trevor Pagan 4.0

Wonderful first impression on the nose, featuring subtle notes of juniper and florals. As the nose aired out, a peculiar medicinal note emerged. The palate and finish offer a pleasant equilibrium, with juniper once again present and harmoniously complemented by elderflower and lemon peel. What's truly noteworthy about this gin is its finish, characterized by an uncommon spice that persists, lending the overall impression a complexity rarely encountered in gin.

This is an outstanding gin and has rapidly become my preferred choice! It's not quite as juniper-forward as a London Dry, but due to the higher ABV, it performs exceptionally well in cocktails or a G&T. It’s light and delicious; I highly recommend it!

Carlos Miles 4.0

It makes an excellent martini. Coriander and citrus share the spotlight with juniper.

Kamden Casey 4.5

Remarkable for the $20 cost, minimal juniper and burn. Surprisingly mellow

Joaquin Wetzel 2.0

Herbal lemongrass. Lemon cough drop flavor.
