Eden Mill The Guard Bridge

This blended malt scotch was made from Lowland and Highland single malts, with some Eden Mill St Andrews single malt included. It was matured in Bourbon, New American Oak, and Oloroso Sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV. It opens with aromas of grain, wood, earth, fruit, exotic blossoms, and spices. The mid-palate is warm and bready, showing flavors of rich barley, sourdough, sweet flapjack, baked stone fruits, sherry-soaked fruits, caramel, grass, and air plant. The finish is lengthy and a bit bubbly, with hints of burnt wood, ginger snap, toasted sweet vanilla, crystallized fruits, and butterscotch.

Too earthy for my preference. It started with a pleasant wine aroma, but the palate was overwhelmingly earthy. The finish was unpleasant with a fruit taste that appeared near the end, somewhat improving the aftertaste. It lingered for a considerable time.

Nose: very faint lemon, champagne, pear, herbaceous Taste: young grains, sugar, somewhat fiery, a light medicinal cherry aftertaste but it's pleasant. Hardly any wood influence.

From the Flaviar Advent 2025 collection, #11. Presents a pale straw hue with thin, wispy legs. Its scent is a blend of soil, spice, and blossoms. The taste mirrors this, with notes of earth, baking bread, and flowers. It feels light in the mouth, with a moderate warmth that lingers. Rating: 7/2/6/3/13, totaling 3.1.

Very pale yellow color, with a floral and grassy aroma. It's smooth with minimal heat, featuring grassy notes and some barley character.
