About this bottle

This Irish whiskey blend combines a grain whiskey of unknown age with a 10-year-old single malt and a 15-year-old single malt that saw finishing in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The blend is then married in a cask previously holding peated whiskey. It is presented at 43.5% ABV.

Melodie Fortune 4.0

This sourced spirit combines a single grain whiskey, a 10-year-old single malt, and a 15-year-old single malt finished in Oloroso sherry, all matured together in a peated cask. A reviewer gave it high marks, stating that even those who claim not to like peated whiskey would struggle to find fault, calling it a rare and wonderful Irish spirit. This was the last tasting before being asked to leave at a previous event. My notes from that time were also very positive: "Actually nice. Hard to know if drunk contributes"

Jacqueline Betz 4.5

A fantastic peated Irish Whiskey. It presents the sweet peat notes I enjoy from Lagavulin Distillers Edition or Caol Ila Distiller’s Edition, yet it's mellower. I tried this at The Whiskey Bar in San Diego; a big glass cost $26, and I'll absolutely pick up a bottle when I discover its availability.

Hudson Cloud 4.0

Sweet notes of caramel, accompanied by fruity, citrus-like tones, merge with a mild peat for a smooth-drinking Irish whiskey.

George Nagy 4.5

I really like this, it's very smooth, not overly peaty but has a pleasant sweet-peat character. I purchased this at a shop in Amsterdam for $45 for a 0.7L bottle.

Jessie Boles 4.0

A pleasant peated-finish whisky. Very enjoyable. It finished maturation for 30 months in a 10-year-old Laphroaig cask.

Diann Mckay 3.0

I'm not a fan. The lingering taste in my mouth is unpleasant.
