[4.3.2016] What better whiskey to celebrate a successful dissertation than a brand that initiated my problematic habit. My in-laws brought this back from a Dublin museum last month, and it surpasses expectations. I hadn't realized the impact of grain alcohol mixed into my Jameson until I experienced this less altered blend. Sweet malty grain is much more dominant than in common Jameson. It remains subtly floral and fruity with enough honey that you could claim it for medicinal purposes. This is the best Jameson I've had to date. Smoother, and therefore more dangerous, than any other Irish whiskey available.

Demarcus Luciano 4.0

Vanilla and sugar, not a lot of depth, but just really smooth and easy to drink. A single flavor, not complex, but I enjoy it. Strong oak wood flavors. Purchased at Bow St. during our tour!

Johan Rodrigues 4.0

Acquired a bottle while visiting Dublin in September 2019. It's exceptionally smooth, as is typical with triple distillation, leaving a pleasant warmth in the mouth and a medium spicy finish.

Clair Gallo 4.5

It has caramel and vanilla. Not very layered, but acceptable for an Irish whiskey. I liked it nearly enough to travel back to Dublin.

Haley Collier 4.3

1992-2000. Great. Smooth. Floral and fruity nose, which carried through to the flavor. Slight vanilla and oak on the taste.

A friend brought me a bottle of this back from Ireland. It's certainly tasty if you appreciate Irish whiskey.
