About this bottle
Don Mateo Mezcals are produced using traditional and environmentally conscious methods. For its Pechuga expression, the brand deviates from the typical use of the neutral espadín agave, instead employing cupreata agave. Delia Vargas Vieyra, the family matriarch, personally selects the components for the Pechuga bottling. These include iguana, venison, and turkey, alongside a variety of dried fruits and nuts, all suspended inside the still during the third distillation.
