Desert Door Back Burn Sotol

Perfectly clear. Smells of agave (sotol, obviously, but this genuinely smells like tequila), wood smoke, cedar, earth, pepper, and finally a touch of orange. It's slightly sweet, with evergreen, spicy, peppery, and subtly smoky notes. Smooth and intricate. A fortunate discovery as the distillery was offering samples at a retail store. According to the label, this might be a limited edition, but I hope they release it again.

Enjoyed poolside with a friend On the nose, it's very reminiscent of tequila, with hints of wood, evergreen, and citrus. On the palate, it's like a festive holiday experience with notes of wood, citrus, and pine nuts.
