Smells very earthy, like fresh peas and minerals, almost like the smell of earth after rain. The taste becomes a gentle woodiness and leaves a long mineral aftertaste. It's so subtle it's likely best enjoyed by itself.

About this bottle
Los Magos Sotol is crafted from 100% organic sotol by native Chihuahuans Eduardo Almanza and Juan Pablo Carvajal, the brand's founders. The plant's hearts are cooked in an underground wood-fired pit for 36-48 hours, then milled and fermented in an open vat before being triple distilled and bottled at 76 proof. The blanco expression has been distributed in the US since March 2021. "The magicians" is the meaning of Los Magos.
