About this bottle
Del Maguey San Pedro Taviche is a limited release from Del Maguey's Vino de Mezcal Del Campo line, created by master palenquero Alberto "Berto" Hernandez Luis. It originates from the mountainous Ocotlan region of Oaxaca. This mezcal combines 100% espadín, tobala, and tepextate agaves, which grow wild for six to eighteen years before harvesting. The piñas are roasted in earth ovens, and their juices are manually extracted by workers using large mallets. Following a double distillation in a copper still, it is bottled at 49% ABV.
