Denis Mcgowan 3.0

This review is for the W.L. Weller cask finished version from Remedy Liquor. It has a very pale yellow color. The nose has a pleasant vanilla note, subtle baking spices, and not much else. The palate is slightly viscous with a really nice vanilla note and faint baking spices again. The finish is short and enjoyable, with more vanilla and more pronounced baking spices, finally revealing a hint of agave, confirming its tequila origin. It's easy to drink. I also tasted the Eagle Rare finished and Stagg finished versions. The Eagle Rare was very similar to the above, perhaps with a touch more baking spice. The Stagg was the most pleasing of the three, featuring more pronounced baking spices and a longer finish, but overall, it was just okay. I would normally create entries for all three finishes, but I ended up combining them with other tequilas into an infinity bottle, which speaks to how much I liked them.
