About this bottle
Homère Clément established Habitation Clément at Domaine de l’Acajou during a period when Martinique's sugar industry faced challenges from beet sugar and inexpensive South American imports. He pioneered the production of what is now known as rhum agricole, using fresh sugarcane juice and a single-column pot-still, in a style similar to brandy. Rhum Clément Single Barrel is a pure rhum agricole, aged for 8 years in new French oak, unfiltered, and presented at cask strength. Each bottle is personally signed by the Cellar Master and includes notations for bottle number, barrel number, aging date, and the sugarcane varietal used.
