About this bottle

Owned by Ôdevie spirits, Arcane is a brand of rhum agricole-style rum produced on the island of Mauritius, recognized for its extensive sugarcane cultivation. Similar to its unaged counterpart, double distillation occurs on Mauritius near the sugarcane source in a pot still, followed by alembic stills in Cognac. This rum is aged for 18 months in French oak.

Cedric Mchenry 4.3

An excellent Mauritian rum. Both on the nose and palate, there's a remarkable and unique dominant flavor of nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds). The only drawback is a slightly too sweet initial taste for my preference, but it's definitely a must-have for the collection!

Reginald Valles 4.5

Smooth, with hints of coffee, vanilla, and pepper. The finish has a lasting impression of wood and flowers. A truly enjoyable sipping rum!

Patsy Wharton 3.0

A flavorful rum that is quite sweet and floods the mouth with fruitiness. While I lean towards drier rums, this is a good syrup.

Robbie Buckley 2.8

Nose: Honey, wood, spices Palate: spices, woody, perhaps some fruity notes Finish: Warm, woody

Wilda Clement 4.0

Nice color. The nose has a surprising banana scent. Very fruity and a long finish on the palate.
