Campeón, an American-owned brand, contracts its tequila production at Distillery Tequila el Viejito, S.A. de C.V. (NOM 1107) in Atotonilco, Jalisco. The blue weber agave used is cultivated in the Los Altos (Highland) region of Jalisco. Following up to a year of aging in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, it is bottled at 80 proof.
