This still is in the most celebrated Brazilian zone for Cachaça creation, in Salinas, known as Brazil's cachaça capital, within the state of Minas Gerais, and it holds legal certification of origin, akin to an AOC or DOC for Cachaça. This year saw the launch of the Extra Premium line, featuring three distinct cachaças, and this Putumuju wood variety, referred to as Araribá in certain areas, is uncommon and offers a unique sensory experience. It presents an amber hue, is aromatic with notes of fruit, jam, menthol, toast, and caramel, possesses balanced acidity and well-integrated alcohol, and leaves a long finish. At lower temperatures and when exposed to air, the cachaça becomes hazy.
