Fabulosa cachaça was developed in 2003 by Eraldo Corrêa, originally from Salinas, known as Brazil's cachaça capital in Minas Gerais. The producer states on their website that they acquired select batches of locally aged cachaças (4, 8, and 10 years). Fabulosa cachaça is a blend of these, aged for an average of 6 years in balsam casks. While Fabulosa Cachaça is registered in Brazil as a distillery and producer, it's unclear if they made this cachaça or simply blended spirits from others. Another inconsistency is that the same distillate is marketed under two different names: Cachaça Fabulosa Tradicional or Bálsamo Ouro for $28 and Cachaça Fabulosa Especial for $43 (the latter being the pricier bottle). Furthermore, two distinct cachaças are already available: FABULOSA PRATA, likely with balsam but a lighter yellow hue; AMBURANA, featuring a different Brazilian wood. Tasting notes for FABULOSA TRADICIONAL (BÁLSAMO OURO): Golden yellow color, aromatic, herbal, with fennel, anise, pleasant freshness, and balance.

Fabulosa cachaça was created in 2003 by a native of Salinas, the national cachaça capital of Minas Gerais. The producer explains on his website that he purchased selected batches of local cachaças that had aged for 4, 8, and 10 years. Fabulosa cachaça is a blend of these cachaças, aged for an average of 6 years in balsam vats. Fabulosa Cachaça is registered in Brazil as a distillery and cachaça producer, but it's unclear from the label or website whether they produced this cachaça or simply blended it with distillates from other producers. Another inconsistency found is that the same distillate is sold under two different names: Cachaça Fabulosa Tradicional or Bálsamo Ouro for $28 per bottle and Cachaça Fabulosa Especial for $43 per bottle (the bottle made the product more expensive). However, two other different cachaças are already on the market: FABULOSA PRATA, probably with balsam but with a much lighter yellow color; AMBURANA with this other Brazilian wood. Notes: of FABULOSA TRADICIONAL (BÁLSAMO OURO): Golden yellow color, aromatic, herbal, fennel, anise, pleasant freshness, balanced
