During the period of colonization, cachaça was a beverage enjoyed by farmers and drovers to unwind after a demanding day or to ward off the severe cold in the Santa Rita de Caldas region, southern Minas Gerais. It also frequently served to liven up social gatherings. At that time, the spirit was considered a common and exceptionally strong drink, yet it became the region's preferred choice. Following years of research and a careful selection of ingredients, always aiming to stay true to its origins and preserve age-old customs, Cachaça Prosa Mineira was introduced in 2010, characterized by its sophistication and quality. It's no surprise that it has received 26 awards. In the still, the entire cachaça production process is carried out manually, with all the necessary care and attention to create a high-quality spirit with a unique personality. The producer has full control over all variables. Therefore, when a consumer enjoys Cachaça Prosa Mineira, they can not only taste a fine beverage but also sense the dedication involved in the entire process. When we discuss quality, we primarily refer to the judicious selection of the main ingredient for cachaça: sugarcane. For this reason, the still has a dedicated area for seedlings and planting, as they believe quality begins at the source. The sugarcane's maturation process to achieve the ideal brix standard (sugar content) for fermentation, along with cultivation in suitable climatic and soil conditions, are factors that directly impact the final outcome of the cachaça. Cachaça do Anjo is aged for approximately one year and six months in balsam, amburana, American oak, and European oak barrels. This exceptionally high-quality blend displays integrated alcohol on the nose and an eruption of fruity and woody aromas with hints of caramel, almond, honey, vanilla, and chocolate. On the palate, there's smoothness and an unparalleled sensation of flavors on the taste buds. It's understandable that Cachaça do Anjo won medals in every competition it entered in 2018, including the Silver Medal at the Brussels World Contest and the Gold Medal at EXPOCACHAÇA, the World Cachaça Showcase, where it was recognized and named the BEST WOOD BLEND IN BRAZIL. In 2021, it received a Gold Medal at Expocachaça and Bruxelas Spirits.
