The property, situated at the headwaters of the Extrema River, 65 km north of Formosa in Goiás, upholds a family legacy of farming and land stewardship. The desire to produce Cachaça Caialua arose from a passion for the spirit. In 2009, efforts began with sugarcane cultivation, construction, equipment acquisition, and extensive product research. The first cachaça was produced in 2012. Harvesting is done by hand, and sugarcane leaves and pulp are used for animal feed. Cooling water used in distillation is returned to rivers and streams. Vinasse serves as fertilizer for the sugarcane fields. Cachaça Caialua Extra Premium is aged for five years in American oak barrels. It exhibits distinct caramel notes mingled with tannin, concluding with undertones of burnt coconut. It is light, with an alcohol content of 40%. Sourced from Cachaçaria Nacional.
