Musician Sammy Hagar established Cabo Wabo in 1996 to create a signature tequila for his cantina in Cabo San Lucas. The tequila is produced by a family using traditional methods with agave from the lowlands of Jalisco. This añejo expression is aged for fourteen months in American oak. Sammy Hagar has since sold his remaining ownership stake, and Gruppo Campari now fully owns the brand.

Maltiness, salt, lime, citrus, caramel, and a noticeable burn. It seems a bit overproof, but I don't mind the nice spice and pepper notes. I'm new to tequila and still learning to appreciate its flavors. So far, I've enjoyed what I've tried, and this is no exception. The aroma is slightly more appealing than the taste, but there are still good flavors present.
Solid and sweet tasting, but also sharp and harsh with the heat from the alcohol. I’d expect more smoothness at the price point. Better añejos can be found at lower prices, won’t be buying again.
It's pleasant with lingering sweetness, but the powerful alcoholic aroma and sharp initial flavor make it difficult to appreciate. While not bad, it doesn't particularly stand out.
This is a celebratory spirit with various undertones. A good choice for variety behind the bar to satisfy all your guests.
It smells like pickles and cucumbers. The flavor is of cucumbers, with a slightly fruity character and a hint of alcohol. I'm not a fan.
After tasting Don Julio Anejo, I don't think this measures up. It's not bad, just that the Don is superior, in my opinion.
