Judah Rojas 3.0

Nose: Fruit from the orchard, wood, touches of cured fruit. Palate: Sweetness like honey, sharp black pepper, ginger spice, dried fruit, milk chocolate. Finish: Lingers for a moderate time. Honey, spices (continuing the ginger and black pepper notes). A subtle floral aspect. This is a rather pleasant, spicy, and fruity drink. An approachable, classic style of whisky. £64.95 for a 50cl bottle 1 of 1,049 bottles My prior experience with this may have been a bit rough. I rated it 2.5 out of 5 then, and I feel I'd upgrade it to 3 out of 5 now. My previous tasting notes were quite basic, just saying "Pepper and ginger. A bit rough initially but smooths out fast. The pepper and ginger intensity endures." I concur with the general characteristics, but it possesses a bit more depth than I initially recognized. In sum, it's slightly above average – not significantly so, and certainly not worth the around £65 for a 50cl bottle.

Mildred Champion 2.5

Pepper and ginger. Slightly harsh initially but quickly softens. The pepper and ginger sensation lingers for a very long time.
