About this bottle

The ninth edition of the festive bottling, Big Peat Christmas 2019 is a limited edition blended malt. It incorporates single malts from the same distilleries as previous years—including Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila, and Port Ellen—but with varying proportions. Bottled at cask strength (53.7% ABV), it is neither chill-filtered nor artificially colored. Worldwide availability began in September 2019.

Darcy Alves 3.5

Aroma: Vanilla, toffee caramel, campfire smoke, salt, vanilla, orange Taste: Plums, apricots, apples, raisins, charred wood, peat (as expected!), oak, vanilla. It's sweet, peaty, and fruity. Finish: Medium-short finish. Charred wood smoke, salt and pepper, chili, baked apples, dark chocolate, coffee, oak. Tasty and complex. Abundant smoke and ash, with fruity sweetness and a touch of salt.
