Atlantico employs a distinctive rum production method. The brand, which has a partnership with singer Enrique Inglesias, integrates multiple rum styles into its final product. Atlantico Platino is a combination of rums distilled from both cane juice and molasses. These are aged individually before being blended and then undergo an extended period of re-aging for marrying. The packaging was refreshed in 2017.

It presents a gentle beginning with hints of sugarcane, fruits, and spices; a rich middle phase introduces notes of citrus, caramel, molasses, and vanilla; culminating in a complex, medium-length finish.
