About this bottle
Ampersand Malus is one of three expressions within the Ampersand collection by Foley Family Wines & Spirits. Master Distiller Chip Tate, the originator of Balcones Distilling, developed this spirit. Malus is a combination of 51% American rye whiskey aged for eight years and 49% Calvados, an apple brandy from Normandy, France, that is at least eight years old. The Calvados is made from a minimum of 40 varieties of apples and pears and matured in French oak. The name is derived from the Latin term for the genus of apple trees. It is bottled non-chill filtered at 92 proof. Only 6,000 bottles will be produced, available from November 2025. (SRP $59)
