Jamar Bello 3.0

A refined, crisp, Moonshine from Sugarland Distilling Co. in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, bottled at 35% ABV. Its initial impression is delicate, featuring hints of freshly baked green apples and shortbread. The middle phase is smooth and semi-sweet, introducing flavors of apple pits and rinds. It concludes with a balanced, velvety finish of medium duration, offering notes of caramel and lemon zest. December 2022

The nose carries distinct spice notes, including cinnamon and nutmeg. There's also orange peel and clearly cooked apples, with a whisper of anise and an underlying hint of alcohol. However, the taste is much more dominated by apple. The spices remain prominent, especially in the finish. Aside from a slight residual warmth and a touch of a medicinal quality, there's virtually no alcohol presence.

Tastes just like apple pie filling. This might have good flavor if it were stronger or less sweet, but for me, it's just too much straight sugar. Perhaps over ice or in a cocktail.

Joseph Thao 4.5

Reminiscent of Granny Smith apples and brown sugar with a hint of cinnamon. Very mild burn, almost unnoticeable. Recommended for those who appreciate apple pie flavored moonshine.

Elisa Raymond 4.0

I'm not an expert at all but I can see why people would like this. Very pleasing and relaxing. Especially for the price.

Excellent, but I think I prefer Ol’ Smokie slightly more. This isn't quite as good on the initial taste.
