Produced by a Charlotte, NC company and named for the city's area code. ***Side Note: The label states "Made in Concord NC," suggesting production and infusion by another company, or that the base spirit is made by them and then infused by the first company.*** NOSE: Initially very heavy on the Juniper. Piney, Peppery, Citrus and Sugar Cookie notes. NEAT: A bit more modern than the nose suggested. Plenty of Juniper, but not overly piney. Complementing the Juniper are Citrus Peel, Pepper, Floral, and Sugary Cookie Dough notes. A touch of grain from the base spirit. Seems suitable for a Martini with Olive or Twist, a G&T, or a Gimlet. G&T: Got a bit lost with standard Fever Tree Tonic, but still made a decent Gin & Tonic. MARTINI: Will report back after preparing one. VERDICT: A nice, modern-leaning take with enough Juniper for traditionalists and enough Citrus/Floral for fans of Modern Gins. I really enjoy everything from this company, and this is no exception. A reasonably priced, versatile Craft Gin.
