About this bottle

Limestone Branch Distillery introduced 6,000 bottles of this bourbon. It is a blend composed of three different sourced Kentucky bourbons: one wheated bourbon aged seven years, and two rye bourbons aged seven and twelve years respectively. The twelve-year-old barrels were refilled with the seven-year-old bourbon, and the final product is bottled at 105 proof.

Better than expected. I only picked this up because there were only 6,000 bottles produced (so I bought 3). I'd read some bad and not so bad reviews so I wasn't expecting much. Pleasantly surprised. You can definitely taste the heavy Rye influence. Although I can still taste the vanilla & burnt sugar.

Maurice Crisp 4.8

Incredibly smooth with its notes of butterscotch making it a favorite — I just wish it were available in stores. Don't overlook it if you happen to see it during your travels.

Alonzo Mcclelland 4.0

3/21/18 Nose: Brown sugar, baking spices, orange zest. Palate: Tastes like caramel candy, orange zest, cinnamon, and licorice. There is a moderate to heavy alcohol burn.

Ayden Schaeffer 5.0

Great bourbon. Surprisingly smooth for 105 proof. Notes of caramelized sugar, vanilla, and raisins. The finish is crisp, refreshing, and light.

Aurora Payne 3.0

2016 - leaves a coating on the glass.. the taste is less substantial than its appearance suggests. It has a beam-like profile with some spice and vanilla.

Reyna Ballesteros 4.0

Excellent. The 2016 limited release is comparable to the new BMH Oregon. It has a distinct cinnamon flavor, as if it were added.
