Nose - Caramel, agave syrup, black pepper, orange peel Taste - Caramel, black pepper, cinnamon, hint of sliced red chilies, agave syrup, charred orange peel Finish - Caramel, vanilla, hints of agave syrup, cinnamon, orange Score - 88/100 Final Thoughts - The aroma on this one seemed somewhat subdued and only truly opened up after I took a small preliminary sip. After that, the anejo tequila cask influence became much more apparent. I found a good balance here, and the tequila cask impartation was unique to the bourbon, but they seemed to clash slightly. You get a bourbon that's slightly less sweet, with hints of agave sweetness and that agave tang, plus a touch of orange/cinnamon spice. Overall, it's very pleasant and sippable, but if you didn't know, you might think your bourbon is a bit off.
