About this bottle

Whisky Works presents Quartermaster, an experimental blended bottling. This expression has been aged for 11 years, combining Highland grain whisky (likely from Invergordon) with Speyside malt whisky. The grain component matured in rum barrels before being finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, while the malt whisky matured in American white oak and sherry butts. A total of 2,134 bottles were made available.

Franklin Concepcion 4.5

Nose: peaches in syrup, gingerbread, light coffee, and light rum. Palate: oily, pleasantly evident rum, honey, raisins, candied ginger covered with chocolate. Finish: honey, medium short. Blended with great character, something that is often lacking even in great blends: a real illumination for lovers of the genre. 4.50 rating __________________________________________________ Nose: peaches in syrup, gingerbread, light coffee, and light rum. Jerry Marcum 3.0

Lovely caramel and toffee aromas. A hint of coffee. The palate has sweet, light toffee with warming spice, cinnamon, and a touch of nutmeg. The alcohol has a slightly sharp bite.

Bruno Halverson 4.0

Nose: Fruitcake, rum, marzipan, oak, banana, peaches. Palate: Smooth sweet start, then spice, followed by tropical fruits and under-ripe bananas. Finish: Dry, sharp fruits. Nutty malt.

Brianne Juarez 3.0

It tastes quite hot on the tongue. A sweet whiskey with a strong vanilla flavor, a little too sweet for my liking, honestly.

Benson Hopper 4.3

The aroma is appley and sweet, almost like a green apple Jolly Rancher. The taste is also appley and sweet with a hint of warmth.

Doreen Iverson 3.8

The aroma is honey and vanilla, which carries through to the palate with some warm spices. Quite enjoyable.
