Old Perth, a blend originally conceived by Peter Thomson in the early 20th century, had faded from existence but has now been revived by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, an enterprise helmed by one of Scotland's most established whisky lineages. The Old Perth 12 Year joined the brand's offerings in 2021. As a blended malt Scotch, its maturation occurred exclusively in sherry casks.

Nose: Hints of cocoa, dried grapes, and malt. Palate: Taste of stewed fruit, lemon zest, and a touch of spice. Finish: Notes of cinnamon and clove, old wood that's a little musty, and tree fruits.
Intense baking spice on the aroma. The palate is robust and the finish has a peat character.
Sweet and spicy. Some honey on the nose, berries on the tongue. Quite enjoyable.
