The aroma has dark toffee mingled with medicinal herbal notes. The flavor is extremely potent, tasting like the wood and tannin from their wine cask but intensified significantly. It possesses such a strong wood character that it includes some spice, with bitter herbal notes on top. While these are all flavors I appreciate, as is typical with their hand-filled selections, the intensity overwhelms the balance, and the finish is very harsh. Nevertheless, I still enjoy it, of course.
