About this bottle

George Washington's circa 1798 distillery was recreated on its original site, informed by archaeological and historical findings, with assistance from the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States. In 2012, DISCUS, in partnership with the Scotch Whisky Association and at the suggestion of The Glenmorangie Co., initiated a symbolic spirit-making collaboration at the distillery. This American single malt is the result of distilling 100% Scottish barley from Glenmorangie. The Limited Edition was distilled twice, aged for two years and eight months in ex-bourbon barrels re-coopered in Speyside, and then finished in Madeira casks for four months.
