Nose: Floral honeysuckle, mocha, baking spice, and caramel. Palate: Stewed peaches, raisins, and spice. The influence of the pinot noir is apparent, with hints of stewed plum and chocolate stout. There's a subtle underlying sweetness from the rum casks, along with caramel. Finish: Vanilla bean and strong oak tannins. Tobacco.
Absolutely not. If I wanted cinnamon whiskey, I could buy it for less! Truly a letdown. The amburana addition didn't suit the spirit.
Smells like deep, dark pipe tobacco. Full and dark, and the palate and finish continue to deliver.
