About this bottle

Part of Westland's Outpost Range Collection, Garryana Edition 8 is a limited release that emphasizes the Pacific Northwest's origins. This edition continues to highlight Quercus garryana, an oak species native to the region, alongside other casks: Washington State red wine (12%), first-fill ex-bourbon (5%), and Pedro Ximenez sherry butt (45%). Six varieties of barley were used, including Washington Select pale malt, pale chocolate malt, and golden promise. Production was limited to 7,380 bottles, available from November 2023 at a suggested price of $149.99.

Rhiannon Mccall 4.8

The aroma is beautifully sweet, complex, and dense, like maple syrup but with a hint of something else. Red wine sweetness is definitely present. It's an explosion of flavor on the tongue, matching the aroma well. Smoky with a tannic bitterness beneath the sweet wave, quite rich, with a tingling finish that's a little peppery. Almost perfect, as is typical from Westland. Wonderful.

Harley Wharton 4.3

Delicious! Coffee, chocolate, funk, and a savory nuttiness, all in perfect balance and wonderfully tasty.
