About this bottle

Westland's 6th Annual Peat Week features a single cask American single malt, identified as cask #3369. This expression was created using Baird's heavily-peated malt and aged for 50 months in a French puncheon, a novel approach for Westland. Bottled at 60.4% ABV, only 580 bottles were produced. The 6th Annual Peat Week event is scheduled for January 21-25, 2020, at the distillery in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, with this specific release available exclusively on-site.

Cheri Conley 4.8

A smoky, savory powerhouse that commands all senses from aroma to finish. It has a classic peaty nose, lacking the briny or medicinal notes of spirits like Laphroaig, offering instead a more earthy smoke. The palate is primarily savory and coats the entire mouth. The finish is intense and long-lasting, leaving a hot tingle. Absolutely delicious.

Domingo Bowman 4.8

Color: resembles late harvest honey Nose: like being on a harbor, the scent of seaweed on the paddles, and a trail mix of cranberries and candied nuts Palate: notes of apples, chips and salsa Finish: like sipping a Malbec after a meal

Quinton Leach 4.8

Dark chocolate, coffee, and heavily peated. Simply incredible! If you have the opportunity to try this or purchase a bottle, I highly recommend it!

Louis Tejada 4.8

Color: Intense red Nose: buttered popcorn at a casual movie night Palate: oily residue in a parking lot Finish: exhaust fumes

Carlo Holcomb 4.8

This is exceptionally good. Truly. If you appreciate peat, you'll love this.

Francisca Burgos 4.8

Smoky notes, creamy cocoa, mellow.
