This aged American whiskey, bottled at 92 proof (46% alcohol by volume), reveals complex caramel and spice on the nose. It offers a creamy texture and mild smoke on the palate. Balanced by mint, eucalyptus, and crisp spice, a warm and smooth chocolate malt mid-palate harmonizes the complexity, appealing to both Scotch whisky and American whiskey enthusiasts.

About this bottle
Tualatin Valley Distilling's Fifty/Fifty American Whiskey honors both Scotch whisky traditions and the origins of American whiskey. Its name reflects the equal parts malted barley and rye in the mash bill; the barley used is the same Pacific Northwest grown and malted grain employed for their single malt. It was aged for seven months in small, 5-gallon oak barrels. Availability is restricted to Oregon as of summer 2015, and the whiskey is sold in 375ml bottles.
