I believe I favored the 6-year expression slightly more, but this is still a good whiskey.

Laws Whiskey House emphasizes its Colorado origins in its production, incorporating high-altitude aging, mountain spring water, and local grains, including heirloom varieties. The Bottled in Bond San Luis Valley Rye is produced using grain from the Cody family's Colorado Malting Company, grown at an altitude of 7,500 feet. This rye whiskey is a combination of barrels made from a mash bill of 95% heirloom San Luis Valley Rye and 5% heirloom barley, alongside barrels of 100% San Luis Valley Rye. It has been aged for a minimum of seven years in new charred oak casks of standard size.
