Tiger Snake Sour Mash Whiskey (5th Batch) originates from the Limeburners distillery, recognized as Australia's first legal sour mash. While bourbon-style, legal restrictions prevent it from being labeled as such. Limeburners crafts this whiskey using a blend of corn, rye, and malted barley, with each bottle individually numbered within its batch. The first batch earned a medal from the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania, setting a high standard for Australian whiskey.

Australian Whiskey sometimes gets a bad rap for being pricey, but this one is absolutely worth it. Tiger Snake is an outstanding interpretation of the bourbon style of whisky, and the vanilla-soaked almond note is incredible. It's easy to drink neat or with a little water (if you must), but it's also a great component for a special evening with friends. 5 stars, my favorite whiskey!
This isn't bad, but I find it hard to justify the cost when there are so many premium whiskies available in the same price bracket. It's sweet and clean, and that's the extent of its appeal. Dan Murphy whisky tasting 13 Sept 17
Nose: Vanilla, honey, berries, pear juice. Palate: Vanilla, salted caramel, creamy like ice cream, spice, peach. Finish: Full bodied and juicy, with prickly spiced peach. A distiller whisky taste #30.
This did nothing for me. It's winning over many, but I wasn't a fan. I'll have to try it again sometime to be sure.
