Forest Harris 1.5

Rating: 7/23 Nose: Significantly more wood influence here compared to the reposado. It presents as tannic with notes of baking spices, pleasant butterscotch, and that somewhat empty vanilla characteristic of the blanco. A subtle, non-offensive hint of roasted meat is present, alongside a whisper of smoke, a touch of vegetal notes, and some toasted character. Palate: Yuck. Overly floral, reminiscent of Metaxa Grande Fine. While there's definitely butterscotch and vanilla, an excessive amount of unwelcome floral notes dominate. It also carries a soapy quality, similar to the Metaxa. It's not completely undrinkable, but it's pretty poor. Subtle undertones of clove oil are detectable, along with a distinct presence of roast meat. Finish: A persistent numbing sensation from clove oil, mingled with vanilla-tinged floral notes, subtle tannic wood undertones, and traces of that cilantro-like soapiness. - Final Thoughts - Not enjoyable! This might have scored an 8, but I'm leaning towards a 7. Unpleasant.
